Hilton Hall Glasshouse

Glasshouse Prior to commencement
hilton 6

Statutory Designation - Grade I

Comprehensive repairs to an early metal-framed glasshouse at Hilton Hall, nr Wolverhampton (built c1815), facilitated by substantial grant funding from English Heritage. The poor condition of the metalwork and structural problems in the supporting brickwork meant that dismantling of the frame was necessary. Repairs included consolidation of the under-floor flue system and reinstatement of run plaster moulding to the central column/chimney.
